Why Nepal?
As a result of our work in Zambia, we have become very involved in the Raspberry Pi community, sharing ideas with other users around the world.
Surendra Tamang and Prakash Gili, a couple of students at the Engineering School at Pokhara University asked for advice on a similar project they were running in a rural school in Nepal. By happy coincidence we were heading out to a friend’s wedding in July 2016 so we took the opportunity to meet up. We gave them a Raspberry Pi, a wireless router and the Pi based RACHEL server. We spent a few hours delivering training and now in October 2016 they are using the equipment in the school with great results.
