Giakonda empowers Rusangu pupils to success at JETS
Category : News
For the past two years a small dedicated team of teachers trained by Giakonda Solar Schools has been delivering courses all over Southern Province Zambia to computer science teachers. We have focussed on physical computing and provided the equipment for pupils to have hands on experience of this.

As a result, Rusangu Primary School pupils were able for the first time to represent Monze District at the JETS Fair (Junior Engineers, Technicians, Scientists). One female pupil is now going forward to represent Southern Province at the National JETS Fair with her Mini Weather Station Project. Head teacher Mr Marvin Moono thanked Giakonda Solar Schools for this empowerment.
The simple kits for these experiments cost only about £15 but the skills they can help impart are priceless.
